How to get the numbers right

  • Carry, not total. Roll changes with the ground; carry is the number that decides whether you clear the bunker.
  • Use your average, not your best. The shot you remember is not the shot you hit.
  • If you have a launch monitor or a shot tracker, take the numbers from there. If not, a range session with a marked target beats a guess.
  • A gap that shows up here is a fact about the numbers you typed. What to do about it depends on the course you play and the shots you actually need.
