Callaway claimed up to 13 yards of shot-shape change from the Elyte hybrid's swappable weights and adjustable hosel. The Quantum Max hybrid page lists neither. Callaway publishes an adjustable hosel and a movable weight on the Elyte hybrid, and publishes no hosel and no weight on the Quantum Max hybrid. We cannot tell you Callaway removed them — only that it documented them on one club and not on the other. Either way, the adjustability that was the Elyte hybrid's headline claim is not something you can plan a fitting around on the new one.
The set is longer and the lofts are re-spaced. Elyte hybrid: 19°, 22°, 24° and 26°, labelled 3H through 6H. Quantum Max hybrid: 19°, 21°, 24°, 27°, 30° and 33°, labelled 3H through 8H. The 3H and 5H match; the 4H goes from 22° to 21°, and the set now runs two clubs deeper into iron territory. If you are replacing 7- and 8-irons, that top end is new.
Head volume is published on one side only: 105 cc for the Quantum Max hybrid, nothing for the Elyte. Lie moves 57.875° to 58.75° — nearly a degree more upright. Length moves 40.625" to 40.75". Both right and left handed. Stock shaft goes from a Project X Denali Charcoal 60 HB to a Project X Denali Silver 60 IR/HYB.
Callaway published $299.99 for the Elyte hybrid. It has not published a price for the Quantum Max hybrid, so that column stays empty.
Our read: keep the Elyte hybrid if you use its weights. The Quantum Max is the better answer only if you want a 30° or 33° hybrid, and you would be trading documented adjustability for lofts you could also reach with an Elyte set up one club differently.
