This is the page where loft-matching earns its keep. The KING MAX 7-iron is 29.5°; your Aerojet 7-iron is 26.5°. Three full degrees. The club in the KING MAX with your 7-iron's loft is its 6-iron, at exactly 26.5°.
Read that again before you read anything about new face technology: club for club, the KING MAX is a weaker-lofted set than what you already own. Almost every club in it sits between two of yours. The numbers on the sole won't line up with the yardages in your head, and the club you hit 150 will have a different number on it.
That isn't a criticism of the KING MAX. A weaker-lofted, wider-spaced set is a legitimate design, and it comes with a 56° sand wedge that your Aerojet line-up doesn't have. It is a criticism of comparing "7-irons" between sets.
Cobra published $999 for the KING MAX stock set; it no longer publishes an Aerojet price.
Our read: keep the Aerojet unless you actively want the whole set re-spaced. If you do switch, get on a launch monitor and re-learn your distances, because your gaps are moving.
