Both of these are sold as zero-torque putters, and they get there differently.
L.A.B.'s DF3 is Lie Angle Balanced — the brand's patented geometry, on a CNC-milled 6061 aluminium head with no insert, 3.0° of loft and a 69° lie. TaylorMade's Spider ZT is a centre-shafted design the brand describes as "toe-up, face-forward", with the centre of gravity 25 mm behind the face, a Pure Roll insert, 2.5° of loft and a 70° lie.
Where the data thins out: TaylorMade publishes a 370 g head weight; L.A.B. publishes gram figures only for its ArmLock and Sweeper builds, so the standard-length DF3's head weight is not available. L.A.B. also publishes no release year for any model.
Both come in 33", 34" and 35", both hands. $399 against $449.99.
