The GT1 is half an inch longer. Titleist lists the TSR1 fairway at 43" and the GT1 at 43.5". On a model built around lightweight builds for moderate swing speeds, half an inch is not a rounding difference — it changes where the club bottoms out and it is the first thing to take to a fitter, ahead of anything about the head.
The high lofts also moved. TSR1: 15°, 18°, 20° and 23°. GT1: 15°, 18°, 21° and 24°. The 3 and 5 are the same; the 7-wood and 9-wood each got a degree weaker. Combined with the extra half inch, the top of that set is a genuinely different club.
The lie went from 56.5° to 56°, half a degree flatter.
The GT1 adds a movable weight — Titleist lists one on the GT1 page and none on the TSR1 page — and lists no weight track on either.
Two blanks worth naming, because they are Titleist's and not ours. Titleist published no head volume for the TSR1, so we cannot tell you whether the 180 cc GT1 head is bigger, smaller or the same. And Titleist listed an adjustable hosel on the TSR1 page and lists nothing about the hosel on the GT1 page, so we cannot confirm the GT1 adjusts. Neither club has a published hosel adjustment range.
Titleist's MSRP went from $349 to $399. Both are Titleist's numbers.
Our read: if the TSR1 fits you at 43", do not assume the GT1 does. This is the rare generation change where the length and the lofts both moved, and it needs a fitting rather than a spec comparison.
