The DS-ADAPT hybrid has a ±2° adjustable hosel and Cobra publishes none on the DARKSPEED hybrid. That is the whole case for upgrading, and it is a genuine one: two degrees either side of the stamped loft is more than the gap between most hybrid slots, so one head covers what used to take two.
Everything else Cobra publishes is identical. Same five lofts — 17°, 19°, 21°, 24° and 28°, labelled 2H through 6H. Same 57.5° lie. Same 41.5" length. Both right and left handed. Neither lists a movable weight.
Head volume is published on one side only: 125 cc for the DS-ADAPT hybrid, nothing for the DARKSPEED hybrid. So we cannot tell you whether the head changed size, and we will not estimate it from a photo.
The stock shaft menu shrank. The DARKSPEED hybrid came with KBS PGI in three weights — 65, 75 and 85. The DS-ADAPT hybrid comes with KBS PGH in two: 75 and 85. If you play the lightest option, the no-upcharge 65 is no longer there.
Cobra's claims are close to a restatement. DARKSPEED hybrid: distance plus a high flight for more room for error on long approaches, and versatility across different lies. DS-ADAPT hybrid: distance with a high flight so long approaches land softer and play more forgiving, with stock KBS graphite shafts said to help the ball up with a bit more spin. No measured number behind either.
Cobra publishes no MSRP we can source for either club.
Our read: if you want to adjust loft, this is the upgrade — it is the one thing the DARKSPEED hybrid cannot do at any price. If you are happy with the loft you have, nothing else on this page moved, and you would be giving up the 65-gram shaft option to get it.
