Our take Our assessment (based on published specs)

The OPTM hybrid is 0.62" shorter and the 2H is gone. Cobra lists the DS-ADAPT hybrid at 41.5" in five heads — 2H, 3H, 4H, 5H and 6H, from 17° to 28°. The OPTM hybrid is 40.88" in four — 3H through 6H, starting at 18°. The 17° head has no equivalent in the new line.
Take the length seriously before the loft. Two thirds of an inch off a hybrid changes where the club bottoms out and how it fits the gap between your longest iron and your 5-wood. It is not a detail, and Cobra publishes both numbers plainly, so you can check them against the club in your bag rather than trust a feel.
The lie went the other way, 57.5° to 58°, half a degree more upright. Head volume is essentially unchanged at 125 cc and 124 cc — a cubic centimetre is not a difference you will see at address.
Both carry Cobra's ±2° adjustable hosel and come right and left handed. The OPTM adds a third stock shaft weight, KBS PGH 65 alongside the 75 and 85 that both offer, which is one more option for slower swings at no upcharge.
Cobra publishes $329 for the OPTM hybrid and publishes no price at all on the DS-ADAPT page, so we can tell you what the new one costs and not what the old one did.
Our read: keep the DS-ADAPT, and keep it firmly if you play the 2H. The OPTM is a shorter club with one fewer head at the long end. Shorter and stronger-lofted at the top is a real fitting change, and it is a change you should make with a fitter and a launch monitor, not from a spec table.
