Our take Our assessment (based on published specs)
These two sell for about the same price but work very differently. The MLM2PRO sits 6.5–8.5 ft behind the ball and combines two cameras with Doppler radar. The Square Golf HE is a camera unit on the floor (its manual puts the ball about 42 cm in front of it), and Square Golf describes it as built for indoor use; it doesn't say whether it works outdoors.
Both can show measured spin, but the path there costs very different amounts. Rapsodo says spin on the MLM2PRO needs RPT balls ($69.99 a dozen) and a Premium membership ($199.99 a year). Square Golf measures spin with its own marking balls (three come in the box) and sells the HE with no subscription fee and 1,000 free credits. It doesn't publish what more credits, marking balls or club markers cost.
