Should you replace your Qi10 Tour Fairway with the TaylorMade Qi35 Tour Fairway?

The Qi35 Tour is listed as a 7-wood and the Qi10 Tour never was. TaylorMade lists the Qi10 Tour in 15° and 18° only — a 3 and a 5. The Qi35 Tour adds 21°, a 7-wood, in the compact Tour head. For a player who wants a low-spinning 7-wood rather than a long iron, that is not an upgrade; it is a club that did not exist in the previous generation.

The head itself did not change size: 170 cc on both, off TaylorMade's own spec documents. Length is 43.25" on both. Both carry the ±2° adjustable hosel, both have a sliding weight on a track, both are built right and left handed. TaylorMade publishes no lie angle for either one.

The sliding weight is where the brand's own description changed. TaylorMade describes the Qi10 Tour's weight as 50 grams and says it lets players tune flight, launch and spin. On the Qi35 Tour it describes a 40-gram weight that slides and flips. Those are the manufacturer's numbers about its own product rather than a spec we can check against a measured figure, and a 10-gram weight change moves head mass around — it does not by itself promise you anything.

The stock shafts were refreshed: Mitsubishi Tensei AV Limited Blue FW in 65 and 75 on the Qi10 Tour, Mitsubishi Kai'li Blue Dark Wave FW in 65 and 75 on the Qi35 Tour. Two weights either way, so neither is the restricted one.
