Our take Our assessment (based on published specs)

Two current Trackman hybrid units that report club data and need no special balls or stickers. The price gap comes first: $25,995 for the Trackman 4 against $13,995 for the Trackman iO.
The iO is the one with measured spin on paper. Trackman lists spin as measured for the iO; for the Trackman 4, our spec table has no published spin entry. Trackman also says the iO is ceiling-mounted and built for indoor play, and it doesn't publish whether it works outdoors. The Trackman 4 is listed for both.
Setup is different too. The Trackman 4 needs a 16 ft room and works with a Windows PC, iPad or iPhone. The iO lists only a Windows PC, and Trackman publishes at least 8.2 ft from ball to screen but not the space behind the ball.
Over five years with a plan, the iO costs about $13,500 less (about $17,500 vs about $31,000 in our standard scenario), helped by a $700 yearly plan against $1,000.
Our read: if you want a unit for the range as well as the room, or you'd rather run it from a phone or tablet, the Trackman 4 is the one. For a dedicated indoor bay with a PC, the iO costs far less. We haven't tested either unit; this is based on published specs.
