Should you replace your Qi4D Fairway with the Titleist GTS2 Fairway?

Four of these lofts are identical. Both brands build 15°, 16.5°, 18° and 21°. The entire published difference in the range is what sits outside those four: Titleist adds a 13.5° at the strong end, TaylorMade adds a 24° at the weak end. Nothing in the middle separates them.

So the question isn't which range is better, it's which end of it you actually need. A 13.5° is a tee club for someone who already hits a 3-wood far enough. A 24° 9-wood is a long-iron replacement for someone who doesn't.

On the rest: TaylorMade publishes a ±2.0° sleeve; Titleist says the hosel adjusts but doesn't publish the range. Titleist publishes a movable weight and states there's no weight track. TaylorMade states there's no weight track and publishes no movable weight — so Titleist gives you an adjustment TaylorMade doesn't.

TaylorMade builds to 43.25" and publishes 185 cc but no lie. Titleist builds to 43.0" and publishes a 56° lie but no head volume. Each brand leaves a different row blank, which is why the table has holes on both sides rather than estimates.

TaylorMade lists the Qi4D fairway at $379.99, Titleist the GTS2 at $399 — about twenty dollars apart.

TaylorMade claims Twist Face tightens dispersion. Titleist claims a higher flight with less spin than the models the GTS replaces, and credits the wraparound composite crown for a lower, deeper CG.

Our read: keep the Qi4D unless you want the 13.5° head or the movable weight. Between 15° and 21° these are the same club with different badges.
